Michael Feigin

Michael Feigin MS. CSCS has been a leader in the fitness industry for over 20 years, as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and nutritionist. He is the co-owner of The Fitness Guru and Half Moon Pilates, New York-based fitness businesses with studios throughout the New York metropolitan area; as well as a nationally recognized education program that educates and certifies Pilates instructors. He has been the Head Nutritionist for the Eastern Athletic Clubs of New York, and designer of the Energy Kitchen Meal Plan in the New York/ Metro area.
Michael has appeared on over 100 television talk shows across the United States as a fitness and nutrition expert. He is the creator, producer and host of “The Fitness Guru.” An hour-long talk show focusing on health and fitness, The Fitness Guru was heard daily for two years on Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 114 and had a listenership between 100,000 and 200,000 people daily. In 2008, he was the host of the web series “Knock Out the Fat,” and a spokesperson for the George Foreman Mean Lean Grilling Machine.
Michael has written for or been written about in numerous magazines including Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Best Life, Self, Time Out New York, The New York Times and many others. He writes a monthly column, “Ask the Guru”, for Metrosport/NY Magazine. His first book, “The Quick Fix”, is slated for publication in early 2010.
Michael has a BA from Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, and numerous certifications in exercise. Michael is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
He has also run a few marathons, stepped into the boxing ring with world champions and eaten his fair share of pizza.
